SERIES 2/CARD 24: THE WAY OF THE CROSS!
WORSHIP THE "HOLY OF HOLIES" IN SACRED PUBLIC PROCESSIONS.
This card began my journey of working with Mary's ongoing messages.
THE HOLY OF HOLIES LITANY, included in this card was given to me in 2013 during my daughter's campaign for Mayor of the City of San Bernardino. We were looking for an abandoned campus site, a place large enough to house large numbers of homeless people. Homeless people are everywhere in San Bernardino. They occupy every park, channel, ditch, vacant building and parking lot. You will find them sleeping in front of every business on "E" Street, the main street. Their campsites flank the hills as you enter the city. San Bernardino consistently ranks in the top 10 unsafe and least desirable cities.
We felt inspired to go to Arrowhead Springs, the 1,900-acre abandoned site of Campus Crusades for Christ (S1/cards 29, 30). In 1991, the world's largest international prayer and media distribution ministry abandoned the San Bernardino site and relocated to Florida. On the way to the ancient site, sacred to both indigenous tribes and Mormons, we wondered how we were going to get in the closed rod iron gate. Then, mysteriously, when we arrived, the gate automatically opened, and two trucks came out and turned down a side road. We hurried in before the gate could close! The stunning hotel was surrounded by dry, brown grass. We saw no one. We walked around, inspecting the dilapidated dorms and the small amphitheater. We heard a well running. When I saw the small prayer chapel empty and closed, the litany poured out of my mouth as a public confession.
I had prayed in the chapel with a friend, who worked for Campus Crusade. I knew the chapel was to be manned 24/7. When I got home, I wrote the powerful litany down. We distributed it throughout the city to homeless people and asked them to invoke it over the city. They were eager to respond to our call! We started to wonder how we were going to get out of the gate. But as before, when we got to it, two trucks showed up, the gate opened, and they both vanished onto a side ride, and we hurried out to the main road!
